Mum always said to spend money on good quality clothes as they'd last longer....... Paying a little bit more for things does sometimes mean they last longer, especially if you don't wear them very much!!
It's been thirteen years, yes 13 years, since I purchased that skirt (and top)
Who would've thought that hanging on to the same clothes for so long would come in handy! I also think that the skirt would suit my niece (she's about 6) so I'm hanging onto it for her.
Cardio 1 hr 6-7x week.
Avoiding all "Bad" foods, only eating "good" foods.
Incredibly restricted with food choices.
Clueless on how to eat to recover from training, only how to fuel up before.
Unaware that behaviours were speeding up the aging process.
Refused to believe was over training.
Couldn't mentally get head around eating more
Terrified of weight training because of "bulking up".
Thought coffee was BAD!
Resistance training 3x a week.
Cardio once a week, if at all.
Eating 6 x a day, 7 days a week.
Is now fine to eat burgers, chips, chocolate, ice cream, cake, desserts without freaking out.
Knows what to eat and when it eat for recovery.
Also knows what to do to slow down the aging process and heal the body from years of over-training and under-nourishing.
The more lean tissue the better!
Drinks 2-3 cups of coffee a day.
I'd like to think that my example can give more people the confidence that you CAN be in rip, roaringly good shape without the need to spend hours upon hours doing cardio in the gym, that lifting weights doesn't make you bulky and that you can eat LOTS of food and not get fat!
