Calories……..
How do you feel about the word Calorie? Scared? Worried? Fearful? You might even have phobia about them.
In clinical psychology, a phobia is a type of anxiety disorder, usually defined as a persistent fear of an object or situation in which the sufferer commits to great lengths in avoiding, typically disproportional to the actual danger posed, often being recognized as irrational. In the event the phobia cannot be avoided entirely, the sufferer will endure the situation or object with marked distress and significant interference in social or occupational activities.
Persistent for of an object, Commits to great lengths in avoiding, enduring with marked distress and significant interference in social activities.
Hands up who now thinks they have a phobia about calories.
Even calories in carrots or celery or pumpkin or egg whites?
Do you believe that you need to cut calories in order to lose fat?
Do you really even know approximately how many calories a day you need to change your body composition and lose fat???
Here are 2 examples of different calorie needs.
#1 Female. 172cm tall, 70kg, participates in “light activity” ie trains 1-2 times a week (as we can’t know the body fat% of this person this is a rough estimate). This person would need to consume approximately 2000 cals a day to drop body fat and get leaner.
#2 Female. 180cm tall, 120kg, same activity participation as above. This person would need to consume approximately 2700 cals a day to drop body fat and get leaner.

These 3 plates don’t even add up to 700 calories.
OMG that is a LOT of food…..are you freaking out?? Take a big deep breath in and then out and repeat 10 times ;-)
FYI you don't have to eat all of that food in one sitting ;-)
Quick gear change and a different way of looking at this calorie thing.
