Well from the look of Horror on the face of a woman watching a smoothie being poured through a sieve so the audience could see what was left, you’d start to believe that it must be simply terrible to have all that fibrous material end up in your body!!

So what do you do to avoid the horrors of fiber? You buy a machine that pulverizes the living fibre out of the food and then you have a BEVERAGE!
Beverage NOUN (chiefly in commercial use) a drink other than water.
Yep, you now have something that you drink (that isn’t water)
Perhaps it is because I am up before the sparrow's fart that I have the pleasure of viewing the Shopping Promos on TV as I eat my first meal of the day. There I sit transfixed, and as I chew away, my brain slowly starts to tick over and I start to ponder….
Why is it that we need to turn a meal into a BEVERAGE instead of CHEWING it?
Have we become so far removed from a basic understanding of how our bodies work that we now rely on a blender to “chew” up our food for us?
Have we forgotten how beneficial fiber is for our body?
We don’t need a machine to break down food before it enters our mouth or even our digestive system….our body produces digestive enzymes that are more than capable of doing that for us.
Oddly enough we humans have managed to survive up to this point without needing our food pureed prior to consumption.
What is wrong with actually EATING????

Chewing is part of what I call the Calorie Tax.
It costs a hell of a lot more in Calories to CHEW your food than it does to Drink them.
So if you want to burn fat, then perhaps it is time to think more about CHEWING and put the beverage in its correct place.
